BUDAPEST, HUNGARY 12/21/07 -- Power of the Dream Ventures, Inc. (PDV) is pleased to announce that that company’s wholly owned Hungarian subsidiary, Vidatech LLP, has filed a patent applications for a ground-breaking desalination technology.

The patent was filed in Hungary, with PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) applications to be filed within the time allowed by patent law.

"I am very happy that we were able to file our fourth patent application. Clean drinking water is becoming an issue worldwide. It is our hope that the desalination technology we recently acquired will be a major contributor in providing clean water in the coming years. There is still much work to be done until a prototype is complete and more still until the technology becomes commercially available, but we believe this is a road worth travelling." commented Viktor Rozsnyay, President of the Company.

Work will commence on building and testing a prototype, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2008, with commercial release in 2009. The technology is portable,  can be made self sufficient with solar panels and it uses a mixture of vacuum distillation with ultrasonic impulse excitation and cavitation.
